About
I’m Michael Brady.
Because of my 22.5 years of lived experience with incarceration, I am uniquely qualified to help others understand the legal system maze.
When I started my journey in the criminal justice system, I thought I knew how it worked. Boy was I wrong!
I soon learned how little I actually knew when the appellate court denied my appeal. I got a job in the law library where I spent hours learning why one person would win their case while another person would lose theirs using similar facts.
The facts are the most important part of the case. The second most important part is what the remedy is.
Based on the facts, if the remedy I requested is something the courts could not grant, then the courts would deny the motion, personal restraint petition or the petition for discretionary review.
What does all this experience do for you? I can help you bridge the gap of trust and exchange information with your clients by having Brady Consulting Services on your team who has lived each step of the incarceration and parole process.
I know first hand what is feels like when you have lost trust in your lawyer’s ability to truly look out for your best interest. Sometimes, even though it feels that way, sometimes that is not the case.
Because of my lived experience, I am able to be the bridge the gap between the lawyer and the client… assist both parties where there are communication misunderstandings and bring them back to center in order to enable progress with the case.
